Yes, il Gusto cast iron cookware comes pre-seasoned with a coating of vegetable oil formula and it is ready to use right out of the box.
How do I season my il Gusto cast iron cookware?

After every usage of il Gusto cookware, wipe the surface and rinse it under warm water. Dry your cookware and apply a thin layer of oil to the entire surface, place it upside down in your pre-heated oven and bake it for an hour. Let it cooled down and your cast iron is now seasoned. You can repeat this steps to build up the seasoning.
Is il Gusto cast iron non-stick?

il Gusto cast iron cookware can create a naturally non-stick surface if you seasoned them properly. The non-stick of cast iron cookware improves with age, frequent use and well-seasoned.
There’s rust on my il Gusto cast iron, what should I do?"

If rust appear, don’t worry, don’t throw your cast iron, it is normal and it can be repair. Rust occur due to humidity environment resulting oxygen react with the iron and create iron oxide which is harmless. To remove the rust, scrub the rusted surface with the fine steel wool and wash it with hot or warm water. Thoroughly dry the cast iron and re-season it.
Can il Gusto cast iron works with induction cooktops?

Yes, il Gusto cast iron can be used on every cooktop such as electric, gas, induction, glass/ceramic, oven, grill and campfires. Aware that cast iron might scratch the surface of the glass and induction cooktop. To prevent the scratches, simply place a thin layer of paper or silpat mats between the burner and the cast iron. Although the paper is unlikely to catch fire but you should always alert when using it.
Is il Gusto cast iron oven-safe?

Yes, il Gusto cast iron is oven friendly. You can transfer it directly from stovetop to a hot oven. It can withstand a very high temperature and it is oven-safe up to 500ºF (260°C).
Can il Gusto cast iron go into microwave?

Never use your cast iron in the microwave. Like any metal cookware, cast iron can’t be used in a microwave. It’s unsafe. Continuous microwaving of cast iron will cause electric sparks occur, these can damage your microwave and probably set your kitchen on fire.
Is il Gusto cast iron dishwasher safe?

No, the seasoning coating will be gone if you put your il Gusto cast iron in the dishwasher. Soaking, tossing and scrubbing in dishwasher will ruin the seasoning of the cast iron and it will get rusty.
